Barbara Endemann, Marketing Manager Europe DDI

Objectives and challenges

The human resources consultancy market in Germany is highly competitive. A continuous presence in the trade press and regular contact with target groups is therefore essential in order to be perceived as a relevant market player. Targeted marketing of DDI's professional expertise was aimed at initiating and leading discussions on particular topics in order to enter into a continuous dialogue with the company's target groups.

Measures and actions

Through effective marketing of studies and guidelines on HR topics a continuous presence in the daily, business and trade press could be achieved. The new Managing Director Elmar Kronz was successfully introduced to the media through one-to-ones with leading business and trade publications resulting in various new approaches and ideas for potential media cooperations.

Results

The measures described enabled good contacts to be built up with the relevant HR and trade media. DDI was thereby established as an expert contact partner for the business and daily press on the subject of senior management and is today perceived as a specialist in identifying and grooming senior managers. DDI has therefore been successful in shaping discussions on the subject of senior management selection in both the media and the industry.
